What makes a great teacher? Think about these points and how they relate to you. If you can say yes to one or more of these it is likely you will make a great teacher.

Passion: Passion is the crucial x-factor, and this means making learning enjoyable and exciting for students. Great teachers have the inner desire to excel in the classroom.

Interpersonal Skills: Great teachers have a genuine interest in you as a person. They are able to relate information or material to experiences that are relevant to the student.

Causing Learning: Fundamentally a teacher's job is to cause learning. The need to instill the skill or desire in the student to want to learn.

Creativity: This is one of the most important aspects of teaching. The teacher needs to act as the creative coach so students are able to express themselves in their own way and take risks.

Love of Learning: Great teachers are life long learners. They just don't think they are perfect. It is about a love of learning which is so critical.
